A Little Night Swimming is out today!
You'll have to forgive the lack of link;[*] I'm posting from my phone again. Never fear, I do still have net access. I'm just too excited to wait until I get home. Forgive the any weirdness in the post too; this blog really isn't designed to be written by phone. I arrived at work today to find an Ariel doll in the lost property. A sign, no? My sister and I had one as a kid, though this new one has acquired some see-through bra straps I swear ours never had. Disney's Little Mermaid was the first film I ever saw at the cinema. Apparently I refused to stay in my seat, and I was so scared of Ursula I had to be taken out of the cinema. I have a soft spot for the film today, but it's Futurama that pinpoint my issue with your average Mermaid romance: fish don't have penetrative sex. Well, most fish, anyway. I think some sharks actually get pregnant, which implies penetration. I may have to check that one out. Anyway, to me a mammalian Mermaid always made more sense (dugongs are mammals, after all, and that's the root of the whole thing) which is one of the reasons I wrote A Little Night Swimming: so I could have it my way. Which really summaries why I write, at least partially. A Little Night Swimming is out now (on the home page and all!) for a mere 99c, and is coming soon from all youth favourite retailers. Get it here first!

#1 Thanks for the link :) is
Thanks for the link :) is there any way to edit bllog posts? I forgot to put html tags in (the phone can't cope with rich text); there were meant to be paragraph breaks in there (honest guv'nor!), and I've spotted some typical autocorrect typos.
#2 Edit Tab
When I go to look at my individual blog post, I see an edit tab in the top left corner of the blog window.

I don't have that on mine; the site's still on beta, so it'll probably appear for me at some point :)

Or disappear for me. Or it's a browser thing. I dunno. Sorry it didn't help!

#5 Great fun!
I had great fun with the mermaid cover. Thank you for creating such a wonderful story for me to work with! I think people are really going to enjoy it. Come to think of it, I know a few mermaid lovers I may have to see about referring this way... *glee!* :D

#6 It is such an awesome cover.
It is such an awesome cover. Been sharing it all over the place :)
#7 Love the point about mermaids
I always thought the sexy mermaid thing was weird for just the reason you name -- if a female mermaid can't spread her legs, or a male mermaid seems not to have genitalia, how sexy can they be? Excited to check out how you got around that. Congrats on the release!
